I left my first job on Wall Street to commission in the United States Navy. During twelve years of Naval service, I deployed to the Mediterranean Sea, Arabian Sea, and Western Pacific. I have also had the opporunity to serve at United Nations Headquarters in New York City and Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island.

In 2019, leveraging my prior finance experience as an investment banker, I co-founded Uproot Homes. Uproot was a real estate platform that helps active duty homeowners build financial security regardless of when or where they move next. Although the project folded in 2021, we created an innovative shared-equity housing model for the military community and other groups that are typically left out of traditional homeownership markets.

I constantly look for ways to give back to the communities that have afforded me so much. One of my greatest pleasures is to serve as a Service 2 School Undergraduate Ambassador, working with transitioning veterans embarking on their college journey. I have also volunteered with local organizations in San Diego to teach U.S. Citizenship courses.
